Elixirs are great. I have a old Elixir R and a 2011 code CR. Both work great and both have amazing modulation. Bleeding is easy and I don't have to do it that often. Probably around once a year for both. My friend has some Stroker Trails they were good until he bent the piston posts that the pads attach to. Now his pads fall out from time to time. Imo avid's pad system works so much better than hayes.
